NJ ROCKS

Posted by Lyle On Aug 15, 2007

BRM blog imageSomething must be in the water in Westfield, NJ... Went
to Maxwell's the other night to see Vampire Weekend, RahRahRiot and  Tokyo Police Club (let the blogapalooza begin).

Much to my surprise, the lead singer/bassist of TPC was rocking a
Westfield, NJ shirt. Westfield has also spawned music supervisors
John and Patrick Houlihan, indie-rock lawyer Paul
Sommerstein and Meredith Scheiner, wife of my pal Jim. But I was surprised to see the rock action-wear on stage.

The mystery of TPC's support for Essex County was easily cleared
up when I found out their manager, Richard Cohen, also hails from the 'field... And all I thought Westfield had was that good Sub Shop (it might be called Hershey's, bit I cannot confirm.)

Here's Tokyo Police Club's new single on uh, Mean Beard Recordings.
