Stop Believin'

I always thought that the end of the Sopranos really should have been Tony standing up and saying "Someone shoot me I'm listening to Journey" (cut to black) ... I mean of course I loved the idea that he would have been cranking Spoon just because the song works better, but it's still a bit of a stretch that Tony would be digging any jams on Merge.

Regardless, all of this leads to my refreshed hate of all things Journey, well not Journey, but mainly Mr. Grinch himself, Steven Perry, who recently denied his publishing share for a use of "Don't Stop Believing'" by Petra Haden for a television placement! I mean really, is he trying to prevent the world from hearing how the song can be done if you actually know how to sing? It isn't like there's a writer's strike going on, and it would off been nice to end the year with this placement, but no thanks to Mr. Perry.

So bah humbug to Mr. Journey, I'm sorry that he is allergic to light and doesn't need any Christmas bonus ...In the meantime if you wanna license anything from "Guilt By Association" stick to "Two Tickets To Paradise" by Geoff Farina. I'm sure Eddie Money could use the uh, gelt....
