Rock Action: Radar Brothers

I'm not going to say it's easy to listen to the Radar Brothers in the middle of this redonkulous cold wave that is leaving even the best of us grumpier then usual (hard to belive!). Still, some of my less curse ridden schleps through the frozen Hoboken tundra (ok, it isn't that bad, but...), have been relieved by my obsessive listening of the new Radar Brothers record "Auditorium." Nice and strummy with that pesky good harmony thing make these boys sound more like later period "Chesnut Mare" era Byrds than say, "Mr. Tambourine Man" (thank gawd). Cool, slow, languid... you know all those adjectives, they apply for real. The band are doing a residency at the Echo every Monday for the month of January. You won't have to drive through the snow to get there, and it's for free, so you really have no excuse. Plus you can hang with the West Coast Bank Robber Sarah Smith, and that's always worth traveling the extra sad mile.
