HOT ROCK SHOW TONIGHT!!!!

TONIGHT (4/7/08) @ BOWERY BALLROOM is the mightiest of mighty Bank Robber Music RAWK SHOWZ. Never has the BRM rocked harder, scared more demons out of their demon caves, wasted as much cell phone battery power, or revealed as much ample boobage than when Gary Higgins, Nina Nastasia/Jim White, and Phosphorescent take the stage at my favorite venue in NYC. ...Or at least my favorite venue in walking proximity to my apartment. You should not miss this great opportunity tonight for rockage. Higgins spent much of the 70s in prison (or was it 80's?...who knows...anyway dude was arrested for having more weed than my entire freshman college dorm, he even named his little heard, awesomely reissue'd cul folk album, Red Hash). Dude was on some American Gangster shit. Nina Nastasia and Jim White are not on some AG tip, but they do make beautiful restrained folk music perfect for seducing potential girlfriends and Volvo ads (shout out to us!!!!), and Phosphorescent has a beard that could step to the beard I shaved off about this time last year. So I love that dude. Also, if you dig the archives, you can find a super post I did on that cat. His album, Pride, (Dead Oceans) is the kind of record I wish Devendra made these days.
