MAD MEN!
Posted by Hartley On Aug 7, 2008

LOOK AT THOSE GAMS!!!!
Goddamn, Mad Man du jour Don Draper is the man. I can't think of the last time I had such a hard-on for a television show. And check all the spin-off advice blogs - what would Don Draper do? or what would Joan Holloway do? or even What Would The Disappointed Mohawk Air Exec Do? It appears everybody is going Mad crazy with me. It's not just the aesthetics - though, I've been known to sport a tie-clip around the office, it's not just the "broads" - so many, so sexy I find myself constantly wrestling such chauvinistic metaphysical questions of if I could sleep with just one, who would that one be? The dryly ambitious Peggy? The T&A tastic, but no less sage, Joan? Hell, the hapless phone operator girl sporting the crush on Sir Gay from the Art Department whose name is incredibly, perfectly: Salvatore. I f'ing love Mad Men.
And only intensifying our love for the show that much more: last Sunday night's episode featured not one, but two (!) Bank Robber cues straight out of the Numero Group reissue vaults.
Here's "Temptations Is Too Hard To Fight" from last week's Mad Men closing credits. Some killer 1967 soul from George Mcgregor and The Bronzettes:
