So ABC News' crack reporting team recently did an expose on our friends Mates of State and their life on the road as both rockers and parents. You can watch this amusing video here. The transcript is utterly hilarious - it's almost as if Don Draper did the copy-editing. Not only does the title of this post come directly from the peice, but also this classic nugget of journalistic genius: "life on the road for a rock group is supposed to be non-stop debauchery right?". Oy.

In any event, Baby June and Magnolia looks utterly adorable - as do The Mates who I was happy to learn tour around the country in the same red Toyota station wagon-ey/mini van thing I swear every one of my college professors drove around campus in. Awesome.

Speaking of College! Have you guys seen this new Royal Caribean Cruise ad yet? It features the Mates' jam "For The Actor," and what is undoubtedly the most gratuitous voice-over in the history of television. Definitely will help put Mag and June through the Ivy Leagues though:
