i stole the cover image from pigeonsandplanes.com - which is why it says that up top. it has nothing to do with bon iver at all.

We at Bank Robber love the Bon Iver so hard, we have to go illegally downloading his music the second it hits the interwebs. We don't even wait for the fine folks at Jagjaguwar to send us any advances. Basically, we are smitten with Sir Bon. And the love keeps growing - the entire BRM posse caught Bon Iver and his incredible, instrument-swapping backing band last week at Town Hall and it was essentially one of the most beautiful gigs I can remember going to. All reverby falsetto vocals that could please fans of both Jeff Buckley and Animal Collective, moody percussive stomps, hazy mercurial guitar swells, and tons of memorable melodies. Turns out, the one kick-ass actually grungey rock song of the night was the title track off Bon Iver's amazing new tour ep, Blood Bank. Boy, does this too breif 4-song ep leave you wanting more. Both "Blood Bank" and the wistful "Beach Baby" are two of Bon Iver's best songs to date. I love this guy. I hope he records a new album FAST.

Here's some Bon Iver goodies:

our man w/ killer band playing "Skinny Love" on Letterman last week:

a beautiful solo acoustic performance of "Flume":

Here's "Blood Bank" off the ep of the same name out now on Jagjaguwar:
