So Gramps here has successfully lived through another sxsw....regardless of the indigestion, lack of sleep, and various people who are pissed off at me I had a good time.......A few lessons learned:

Kids suck : Such youngsters as Metallica, Devo and Tony Joe White really tilted SXSW's demographic to the AARP scene but god bless the Wrens for showing everyone young and old how it is still done. A SXSW highlight for sure, especially when one evening they were the last band i saw at 1AM and then the first band i saw the next day at noon. Not something that happens in Hoboken everyday.....

Kids Rule: Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band's 13 year old drummers Marshall is a motherfracker on the skins.....glad i wasn't playing after him, i might of gone back to playing the clarinet. You gotta see these guys/gal for sure.

3) Don Henley Still sucks: Yup Telekineis actually pull off the impossible as all lead vocals and drums are by our boy Michael Benjamin Lerner ......and he's cute ta boot (even though i wish his sister would of packed him some sunblock).

Oh so many highlight, but I can't write anymore cause Hartley is talking (shock), and Bronwen is lying on the floor (hopefully it was her lunch, not just the realization that she works here).

Wow. I really like this Telekinesis thing. On first listen, even. Mirla hinted I would probably liked it.

And I think of myself as kind of picky.

Wrens by 2040? maybe.....of the three shows i saw a did hear a few new jams, so i'm calling end of 2010..should we start a betting pool?
