BANK ROBBER MUSIC DOES SUMMER FOOTWEAR!

our ankles are not this pale really.

In our continuing series of "we came to work dressed like Jennifer" posts - see previous blog here....

They say great minds think alike, and dare I say it Bank Robber Jennifer (or as Lyle has dubbed her "EB" - standing for "Eyebrows" which is what Jen is doing when she's not saving our lives in the lab) and I are indeed "great minds." There's clearly only one thing to do when the weather report is pushing 90 degrees, the sun is burning bright, and Bossman Lyle is out of the office....that's right, wear shorts and apparently tan leather footwear as well. You can imagine the shock both Miss Jennifer and I felt when we gazed down at one another's well-chosen footwear and discovered that we were basically wearing the his'n'her's version of the same thing (see: above picture).

Now, while Jennifer's footwear (on the right) may have more of a "mexican swine flu meets my Favorite band at Coachella was Fleet Foxes vibe" what with all the woven leather and laces - we both never the less were rocking the sockless brown leather flats proudly. Furthermore, Lyle may say my penny-less loafers were a bit too Vampire Weekend for his tastes - it should be noted that this may have been the first time in a full calender year I did not wear cowboy boots to work. Clearly, it's an important day here.
