(De) Generationals

So I'm honestly not sure what put the final nail in the coffin of the Eames Era.......Hailing from Baton Rouge, The Eames Era (thanks to Dawn), were one of the first bands that BRM picked up and I'm still having quite a ride working with their music.  How about this: the first license they got was on a some new lady doctor show called "Grey's Anatomy"... not a bad place to start, and they are still getting hits (thank you "Privileged" ... oh why did you get cancelled?)... What I loved about the Eames Era was probably their ultimate failing - they were just a little too happy to be playing during the Bush administration.  You figure that a van getting totalled post Katrina would make them write some more dour jams, but the Eames Era happily knocked it out with an EP and two albums.

Well, all good things have to come to an end, and from the ashes of the Eames Era come the Generationals.....Still happyish to be playing, but less Andrea McArdle and more Michael Cera fronting The Buggles ala Sharon Jones? Whatever crazy glip glop of indieness is going on with these guys, it is all catchy as fuck.....So check out the new school video:

and then go old school:

Enjoy,

Lyle
