Jerry Fuchs RIP

Posted by Pete On Nov 9, 2009

While we aren't known for the serious posts over here on the BRM Blog, we would like to take this space today to acknowledge the passing of a truly incredible musician and member of the BRM family.

Jerry Fuchs, drummer for both Maserati and The Juan Maclean (as well as !!!, Turing Machine, Vineland and many others) passed away in a tragic accident this weekend that has left us all pretty speechless. He was one of the few musicians that everyone in this office could agree on, and in one way or another we were all lucky enough to see, hear, and befriend this amazing guy.

Our hearts go out to his family, his friends, his bands, and all the other people that were lucky enough to have had Jerry pass through their lives at one time or another.

We'd like to remember him as the guy that left us standing in a room, mouths completely agape, laughing even, as he pummeled his way through entire sets and pulled out one handed drum fills that left a bunch of jaded rock dudes truly IMPRESSED for the first time in awhile.

Thanks Jerry, you will be missed.
