Radar In Revolt

"Youth In Revolt" opens today and I'm proud to say that it features "Happy Spirits" by the Radar Brothers!  Yup, the thrilling world of music licensing has more than its unfair share of ups and downs but this song survived the final cut.

You see, over here at the BRM headquarters we really do have a Goose Egg Board which lists the unfortunate bands that haven't been licensed and the Radar Brothers "Auditorium" record lived up there for way too long.  Thankfully Anne Litt who supervised the film loved the songs and off the board the Radar Brothers went!  At one time, another of our current Goose Egg residents, Bill Callahan and his song "Too Many Birds" was in "Youth In Revolt" but alas it didn't survive.  To be clear Bill is only on the board for his most recent release "Sometimes I Wish We Were an Eagle" so of course now you should check out this clip of Bill live from Londinium:

Also to celebrate the Radar Brother's placement here's a track from the band's upcoming record "The Illustrated Garden".   Give "Horses Warriors" a spin, it will make any mid-to-late period Byrds fan proud, and I don't think (pray), they wont be back on the Goose Egg board for this release!

Enjoy,

Lyle
