If the Knicks have brought anything to NY over the past several years it has been lots of pain and suffering, so yeah, they are being very good Jews.  That the hopefully amazing (god, uh, willing), new Knicks center Amare Stoudemire is currently in Israel looking for his possible Jewish roots could only get better if they hired Richard Lewis to do their play by play.  The Knicks at Madison Square Garden, it is truly the house that Tevye built.

Amere is a Jewish holy man right? This will hopefully lead him to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where the Jews roam (or rather, where they run slalom through hipsters).  While he searches for the his own spiritual self he can brush up on all that is "hipster holy" by showing his love for DFA recording artist HOLY GHOST!
Besides being all holy and what not, the band has a new EP and a great new video, check'em out:

And in related news: I bet you didn't think Zac Efron was Jewish.  Well, he's not.  ...but it seems he is of Jewish ancestry, though he is agnostic as of now.  Amare... want to take this kid on a trip?  Well, anyway he is in a movie, and while we are on the topic of ghosts, we can't not mention that Pink Mountaintops' "While We Were Dreaming" is featured in that new movie, Charlie St. Cloud.  For full disclosure Charlie St. Cloud has nothing to do with the Knicks either.

Pink Mountaintops "While We Were Dreaming":

To recap...

Amare Stoudmire:
Knicks?                Yes!
Jewish?                Yes!
Pink Mountiantops?    No.

Charlie St. Cloud:
Knicks?                No.
Jewish?                No.
Pink Mountiantops?    Yes!

Enjoy,
lyle
