And the nominees are...

Oscar Oscar Oscar, the BRM is a buzz in pre-Oscar preparations (I
think I've seen one of the films....oh, why didn't "Tangled" get
Nominated?).  Of all our labels, The Numero Group is our big Oscar player.
The other night, "The Kids Are All Right" won the Golden Globe for "Best
Film" and "Best Placement Of Two BRM Songs In A Movie!" I love that
category, I can't believe we won (I'd like to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press,
the Printing Press, the First Cold Press, and the French Press).  Also in "The
Kids Are All Right" is Tame Impala....have you seen the Tame Impala video
for "Expectation?"

Up for the "Best Placement Of Two BRM Songs In A Movie"
category next year is "No Strings Attached" which opens Friday and
features jams from Ra Ra Riot and Bishop Allen!  Here's Ra Ra Riot's
"Boy," which appears in "No Strings Attached:"

We are commissioning the Academy for a new category since getting the last
BRM category was a cinch.  "Best BRM Double Down..." The first film
with two songs by one artist this year is "The Company Men," which has
two songs by Future Islands.  Future Islands just released an
"unplugged" record that puts Kiss Unplugged to shame (Future Islands'
make-up is way better).  Check out "Love Gun" by Future Islands:

Big Oscar Buzz for "Blue Valentine" which features "You And Me" by
Penny And The Quarters from The Numero Group.  Much is being said
about the mystery of Penny and The Quarters, read all about that over

 I actually met Michelle Williams once at Maxwells years ago.  She was
very kind and we actually had a minor conversation about the Bank
Robber.  She was interested, but then suddenly suggested that I should
get into fashion design.  Not sure why, but with that in mind, I did
submit a design for consideration for her Oscar outfit this year. Does the design look familiar? If only I could turn back time...
