TOAD IN THE HOLE?

Happy Royal Wedding Day to you.  On any other day if you were under Manhattan Bridge in Brooklyn at 4:30 AM, I'd say chances are you are just a bit down on your luck... or perhaps researching your role on SKINS, but today I'd just say you were crazy.  Several? Many? A few?  Lordy... 500 Anglophiles gathered under the bridge to watch the wedding live on screen under the bridge.  Thank god the only thing I had to do was be in front of my computer at noon so I could get Wild Flag tickets.  Its a shame we can't service a limited edition 7"... give the A Side a digital spin.

WILD FLAG - Future Crimes

Ok... so we tried all year... but we did't end up with a song in the wedding program.  I guess its ok... from the clips I saw, God is the only one getting public performance royalties from jams in the wedding. If Willy and Kate had wanted a good Brooklyn wedding we would have had them covered.  Imagine Kate rolling up on a fixed gear bike and walking down the aisle to Parts & Labor's "Wedding In A Wasteland".

PARTS & LABOR - Wedding In A Wasteland

Like any good Brooklyn groom Willy would be hoping for those two most splendid of words, "Kept Man"... or "Rich Wife".  If I were a kept man I'd be enjoying a cup of tea somewhere...

THE LONG WINTERS - Rich Wife

Who does a good royal, record shop going couple hire as a wedding planner for their Brooklyn nuptials?  Who could find the right venue?  How about a band that has played alot of them lately? Liturgy might suggest Glasslands or Littlefield, but I think they have found a lovely dignified church that even the Queen Mum would approve of while filming their latest video... premiering today.

LITURGY - Returner (video)

So yeah... maybe you are just sick of all this Royal Wedding stuff... and here we are the good old BRM heaping it on along with everyone else.  If that is the case... we have you covered.
