Mo Money, Mo Bloglems (AN LB JOINT)

Posted by Lauren On Aug 5, 2011

You guys. The debt ceiling! Aaaaaand thus concludes my topical blog post for the week. But seriously, since everyone’s got their mind on their money and their money on their mind, I thought I’d throw down some cash related musics for your listening pleasure.

Do you want to know what I spent my hard-earned dollars on this week? First of all, nooosseeeyy! Second of all, thanks for asking! Jack Cooper, from the great FatCat band, Mazes, made an offer I couldn’t refuse- £10 for a song on the topic of my choosing. Of course, I choose Sleater-Kinney breaking up (I’m still not over it!). A day later, I received my song and it is truly AWESOME! Talk about money well spent- I can’t stop listening to it! And now for its world premiere, here is "When Sleater-Kinney Died":

Want to hear more? You’re in luck 'cause they’ve got a record full of awesome- here’s one I love called "Go Betweens":

In other news, the WILD FLAG ALBUM IS ALMOST HERE! Check out the trailer for it (*SPOILER ALERT: it’s perfect):

Have you heard Wooden Shjips? Of course you have, you have excellent taste. But have you seen the video for “Black Smoke Rise” yet? Check it out below:

While you can’t see it in the video, in my heart of hearts, I know he succeeded in getting that bottle to the recycling center for the five cent refund. Good for the environment and money in the bank- win/win!

If you’re on Spotify, click this link to get a super special playlist I made just for you.

Have a great weekend!

Lauren
