Lots going on this weekend, some sadness (oh, the start of the football season...it hasn't been the same since the Los Angels Dons folded!).  We are here to keep your mind off of such things and focus on you know, the thrill of getting music placed, and some exciting new releases!

Yup, when I first got the request for Telekinesis and The Love Language to be in GOOD OLD FASHIONED ORGY I thought I had fulfilled that long licensing dream of placing a song in a good old fashioned porno.  Alas, that dream still life on as GOFO as they like to call it (yes, they do), recently opened to some very good reviews, and like I mentioned, some BRM music so check out the Love Language song below from the film and of course, see the movie as well!

Premiering this week is the new Zooey D show, "New Girl." Besides that, She & Him have an Xmas album of covers coming out (why no "Dreidel" by Don Mclean????)! Sups, if you wanna hear  your favorite new holiday standard replacing "Christmas Wrapping" by The Waitresses, write me directly. BTW-the show is called "New Girl" and, sure, Zooey recorded the theme song, but what about the Long Winters "New Girl?" Remember that jam? It is below.  In the meantime, why don't you tweet John Roderick that all you want for Xmas is a new Long Winters album.  You can hit him at @johnroderick and tell him BRM sent ya!

The Long Winters "New Girl":

Speaking of holiday dreams come true, the Christmas stocking filler for your younger brother is the new Cymbals Eat Guitars record "Lenses Alien." Produced by the handsome and uber talented John Agnello (ok one of those things is true), the record just got an 8.0 in Pitchfork and has to be heard to be believed! Here is "Definite Darkness":

All Lauren at Bank Robber wanted for Christmas was the new Wild Flag record and video.  I personally couldn't be happier to see Mary Timony back on stage, let alone playing basketball in the new video for "Romance." Check that out here:

How about two videos featuring two piece bands? Poor bass players....so rarely not part of the two piece band (except for say Dos), but how about we start with Phantogram's "As Far As I Can See":

So now we wrap it up with everyone's favorite duo from Baltimore Wye Oak, who, judging from the ending of this video, might now be a one-piece?

Distracted enough? Hope so!

Enjoy!
