So yeah, we are jumping on the 11/11/11 bandwagon in the 11th hour.  Hopefully I will get the blog done before 11/12, but for those of you keeping score at home, I did start thinking about it earlier today (no not at 11:11am), but that counts right?  I know you are thinking, "Where could the blog go after the bloggy heights we reached last week?"  I'll tell you...  when you need that extra... bloggy blog... you turn your blog to 11.  Can Crazy Mom Quilts Blog  do that?  No, they are at 10 with like a baby in a quilt and where can they go? They are at ten!  BRM? BRM Blog goes to 11 and here we go:

1) Gotta start off with what came FIRST and that would be how I spent my Tuesday evening, seeing The Sea & Cake at the Bowery Ballroom! Can't say my sight line was this good, or that I even own a video camera as good as Bleary Eye Brooklyn, but check out The Sea & Cake performing "Inn Keeping" from their most recent album "The Moonlight Butterfly"

2) Telekinesis have a cool new video for "Country Lane".... I mean who doesn't love a video about touring?

3) Speaking of touring The Wrens are selling the van they did the majority of their touring in for The Meadowlands. Am I using that as an excuse to post a clip of The Wrens? Heckyeah! And yes they are selling their van for reals: http://wrens.com/wrens-van-sale-price-lowered

4) Speaking of touring... Holy Ghost! have been touring all around the world in support of their self titled album.  The video here for the new single "Hold My Breath" is a nice montage of touring and hanging with pals...maybe the pals need to buy a new/used van to follow the band around?

5) Getting out of the van and back to the prom, Mates Of State have made a brand new video for "Sway":

6) Now that we've given your ears a rest, it is time to take it to the stage and yeah, turn it up to...yup 12! Aha! Anyway Bitch Magnet re-issues are coming from Temporary Residence, and Jon Fine is hear (sic) to tell you about losing your hearing and the rock. Here's his quote from that indie-blog the Atlantic "Extreme volume is nerd-macho. I couldn’t bench-press 250 pounds—actually, I couldn’t bench-press half of 250 pounds—but my band was much louder than yours. I sneered at those who wore earplugs at their shows. Earplugs turned the picture to black-and-white. Why would you do that? Onstage, your eyesight whiting out from the stage lights and your ears roasting from the decibels, the air seemed suffused with pure adrenaline. It lit you up like a city at night. "

And you can hear Bitch Magnet here:

7) Who else likes it loud? How about a little Dinosaur Jr?

8) Can't turn it up without Liturgy (still waiting on that first license people):

9) Young Widows anyone?

10) New release from Drag City - Cave -the bass is LOUD:

11) OK, so we all don't wanna end up like Jon Fine (as hard as we try), so why don't we end it off with a nice new video of Meg Baird directed by the Queens Of Quiet Naomi Yang of Damon and Naomi:

Tada! all done before the clock struck 12!

Enjoy!
