BRM thanks you for your concern.

Posted by Douglas On Nov 18, 2011

BRM really needs to take a moment away form the joking we normally do on the blog most Fridays to say thank you.  So many of you got in touch this week to make sure we were ok.  When you looked at the news stand this week we know your first thought was of the backlash that Bank Robber Music would be subject to... we know because you let us know.  So thank you.  It has been a rough week.  Not everyone agrees that we should have been selected as People's Sexiest Man Alive and its been hard.  Ryan Gosling egged our office, Bradley Cooper crank called us all week, Zach Galifanakis messengered us a straight razor (super creepy Zach), but it was George Clooney sending us a Turd Pizza that really hurt.  Grow up George...  no pizza deserves that.  Its been hard down here on Wall Street.  I am assuming it was Anderson Cooper who rallied his viewers yesterday outside our office... I mean who else could reach so many?  It was your support that got us through.  Thank you.

Ok... now that we got the serious stuff out of the way back to our upbeat light-hearted blog.  And there is now better way to start it than this!

That's right... there is a new Lambchop record coming!  I am so close to just running the desk flipping instructions... maybe that will come when we get to send it out.  If you want more of a taste... here is a track from the album due in Feb 2012.

If Not I'll Just Die - LAMBCHOP

If those BPMs were too much for you... don't worry we are gonna take things down a notch.  Temporary Residence and BRM started going steady this year which means aside from the killer new releases we have been telling you about we can also get you some other gems from the catalog like... oh... Eluvium.  Thankfully they made a video for one of my favorite tracks off the last album.

The Motion Makes Me Last - ELUVIUM

Oh... you do want a bit more tempo?  How about some remixes?  We have you covered... what flavor?

Remixed by Four Tet...

or how about a remix by Nick Zammuto of The Books...

That's right foodies... Eluvium 3 ways!

Ok... why fight a mellow blog?  If the ship is sailing you might as well get on right?

Desertshore a band of Red House Painters alumni are not only putting out a new record, but this time they convinced Mark Kozelek to joint them for a few songs.  If you were holding your breath for a Red House Painters reunion you might want to take this opportunity to get some air.

Randy Quaid - DESERTSHORE

Ok... that's it.  I need lunch and a nap... you know beauty sleep.

On another note... has everyone been watching The Walking Dead?  People's reader poll is open for this year's Sexiest Man Undead is open now!  Vote for your favorite walker!

60 percent of the time it works every time,

Douglas
